Staff, Clients and Friends enjoyed a pre-Christmas treat sharing the sights, sounds and tastes of wonderful South Africa, in particular the beautiful Eastern Cape at our December, Taste of the Eastern Cape event.
Our ‘Taste Of’ events always prove popular as these evenings provide a great opportunity for everyone to be infused by the spirit of the country to which Ramblers Worldwide Holidays can take you. You meet like-minded travellers, sample local food and become part of the family.
Around 60 guests shared the convivial atmosphere at the Hoxton Apprentice in Central London to taste the food and wines of South Africa and discover more about this amazing country.
Laughter rang out and many stories were shared as like-minded travellers gathered to partake in this feast prepared by Leon who wowed his diners with traditional dishes learned from his own journey through South Africa.
The Joint Managing Director of Ramblers Worldwide Holidays, Kathy Cook, glowing in the warmth of the cosy venue, introduced the evening’s entertainment.
Our very own guide Fred Groenewald took us on a slide show of paradise, pointing out all the places to visit and experience on a Ramblers Worldwide Holiday to the Eastern Cape.
His wife Karen pitched in with her favourite flowers and animals and made tempting promises of sightings of the Big and ‘Small’ Five.
Stephen Hurp from The Eastern Cape Promotional Tourism Authority contributed his passion and love of South Africa, in particular the scenic Eastern Cape.
